Shizzle Marketing’s Philippine Team Distributes 100+ COVID-19 Care Packages in Marilao, Bulacan

On May 14, 2020, the Shizzle Marketing team in the Philippines had the opportunity and honor to provide some much needed community service during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the kindness and generosity of donors, the Shizzle team was able to purchase and assemble 150 care packages -- comprised of healthy meal options (chopsuey, fried fish, rice and sweet milk), a bag of snacks (1L Pineapple Juice, sterilized milk, half dozen apple/pear) and a washable facemask -- all distributed throughout the municipalities of Marilao, Bulacan.

The team’s objective was to provide healthy food options to the frontline health care workers and barangay peace-keeping volunteers within the community as a simple way to personally express their deep gratitude to these “unsung heroes” for all the time, energy, and sacrifice they have unselfishly devoted on behalf of their community.

The first stop of their care package distribution was at the Marilao Community Isolation Facility for all the doctors, nurses and utility personnel -- where approximately 50 sets of goods were dispensed. Afterwards, they visited various barangay outposts and issued the care packages to the volunteers who were supervising their respective barangay checkpoints -- maintaining order and assuring COVID-19 quarantine ordinances were adhered to.

Moreover, in each package of goodies, the team inserted a “Thank You” card with a heartfelt message of gratitude from a Shizzle Marketing team member -- recognizing community members not only through their actions, but also through words that they could retain as a treasured keepsake.

The Shizzle Marketing team was overwhelmed with the incredible amount of warm welcomes and beaming smiles from all the recipients.

All-in-all, it was a huge success! We sincerely hope our team’s humble actions encouraged healthy eating for our frontliners, but also helped to boost their morale in everyone’s fight to combat COVID-19.
